My name is Brian Eastman, and I am the CEO for ICE Recording Company. Come to think of it, I am also ICE Recording Company's Attorney, Web-Designer, Audio-Engineer and Janitor. You get the picture. While in law school, I agreed to manage the Crissinger Band for an old friend of mine, Jeff Ault. Jeff's current band is the Rolling Hams. Keeping time for Crissinger was Jerry Hanahan. Jerry came to the band with considerable experience having performed with Willie Phoenix on A&M Records. The common thread for all of is our hometown in the heart of the USA, Marion, Ohio. |
| | Almost immediately after accepting the managing gig, Crissinger began to record extensively with Rob Brumfiel at The Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, Ohio. Subsequently, Jim Crissinger and I formed Ice Recording Company and we recorded our first Compact Disc with Doug Edwards at Musicol Recording Studio in Columbus, Ohio. Having the opportunity to work extensively with two of Central Ohio's premier Audio Engineers, Jim and I decided to set up our own recording company. Simply stated, "ICE" stands for "It's Crissinger and Eastman's" Recording Company. Jim also came up with the catchy slogan, "If it's hot, put it on Ice." Since forming Ice Recording Company, I have had the opportunity to work with many very talented musicians from Ohio, performing a wide variety of styles. I estimate that I have contributed work on over 100 albums. |
| A few years ago, we acquired the web name "RockInTheUSA.com" thinking that we might use it for an Internet Music Store or for Web Broadcasting. Unfortunately, at the time, we did not have the money or programming ability to do either. Fast forward, finally achieving the minimal programming ability (explaining the simplicity of the site), we are moving toward our goal of providing an outlet for independent musicians to distribute their material. With the rapid growth of social networking, these are exciting times for musicians and music lovers everywhere. It's the dawn of a new era in the music industry!
